Case study!
I received a text message the other day from Penny Bedford who was on our York course
– the picture message was the one on the right and the message read "I think I've
conquered my fear of heights" Penny.
I think you will agree that she has!!!! Here is a message and some piccies from
Penny. Another verification on the fast phobia model.
Up until August this year I had a fear of heights. I hadn't always had it, it was
one of those that had popped up with age and was about as wanted as the wrinkles
appear with age almost as randomly!
On the NLP Practitioner Course we talked about the Fast Phobia model and Kirsty
used this to work with me on getting rid of my fear of heights. At the time there
were no tall building or hills about to test if it had worked... so these pictures
are me testing it out in September in the Lake District - what better place?!
The first one is Go-Ape - lots of tall trees and ropes, the last two are the top
of the Old Man of Coniston, 803 metres up. I'm the one in black & white on the right.
The Old Man was a 3 hour climb up and so I had plenty of time to get scared, it
just didn't happen.
The phobia model only took about 15 minutes and was fantastic fun to do, the latter
part being very unexpected!
